Should she give back the ring?

Eh might as well. The whole thing is honestly becoming so annoying and unnecessary. And it's all starting to feel VERY staged. She's made so much money off the divorce, it's not as if she needs the money from the ring.

Did he even pay for the ring?? If he did, I def think she should give it back.

Well, etiquette states that if the man breaks off the engagement, the lady should be able to keep the ring. If the lady breaks off the engagement, she's obligated to return the ring.

Kim didn't break the engagement but this was really hardly a marriage. And I thought Kris didn't even buy the ring??? I remember reading it was basically given by the jeweler, like all the other freebies they got. Basically free advertisement.

I think if kris paid for the ring, she should definately give it back. After all, she is the one that seems to want out and it's not like she needs the money!

... I was NEVER a follower of this Kim nor her husband... never watch her show...
the whole 'wedding' was not in my interest...
All i know is da many famous rich ppl only get married JUST BECAUSE and it sucks bc i believe now this days MANY people have lost the TRUE meaning of what a TRUE Marriage is....

NOW everything is ab out $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

So i was not surprise when after 72 days this was gone...

and YES SHE SHOUDL RETURN THE RING & GIVW HIM BACK TH MONEY!

Re: Should she give back the ring?

I never really followed the whole wedding/divorce to begin with but the ring debate is more interesting to me. regardless of whether he paid for it or not, i just don't think she should keep it. it was a promise to stay together and they barely lasted 3 months. what is she going to do w/ the ring anyways? she has enough money plus why keep something that reminds you of somebody that you are divorcing? so stupid!

and i think kim's mom should just shut up and get a life. such a publicity wh0re...jmo

I like how she's calling it a 'gift' - ugh it's so much more than that. But that's what happens when you're a family of publicity wh0res..Although I watch them all, I will admit to that

She should give it back. I hate her!

she had added a clause in her prenup that she could buy the ring back if the marriage were to disolve.
(had she not added that thought she would have been able to keep the ring for free, but who knows if they were already anticipating breaking up before the wedding!)
anywho - i wouldn't want to keep the ring, because of the bad memories involved with it...then again, i wouldn' tmind having my old wedding rign to sell the diamond (and with the price of gold what it is now-a-days!) and cash in on it

If she added this on her prenup, then what's the big drama. Buy or give back the ring..

i don't get why you would want to even buy the ring? Wouldn't that scream out FAILED MARRIAGE to you???

if she bought it then no lol

if He bought it, HECK YES

**side note**
I was engaged and after it ended I gave the ring back cause looking at it just hurt so bad, it reminded me of what would never be

If she ever really loved him, she would give it back to him, not wear it like come cocktail ring
looking at it would serve to remind her of her failed marriage....

of course she should give it back!!!!! why the hey would you want such bad juju around?!

My friend recently broke off her engagement, and her ex-FH is a lawyer and told her he would sue if she didn't give it back because its not a 'gift' ever, its something that is given under the pretense that marriage would follow, and if it doesn't then legally they have to give it back. Not sure if this is true or not, maybe the lawyer ladies can answer it better!

He didn't pay for the ring. The production company for the wedding show on E paid for the ring. Not only that, they got it for an extreme discount.

legally speaking, the status of an engagement ring changes after the wedding. before the wedding, it is supposed to go back to the giver. after a divorce, it is usually the recipient's to keep. this is based on NY law, CA law might be different.

Above this, if she paid for it, giving it back would mean he profits. I actually like her and do in a way feel bad for her, but this is definitely a media circus. She needs to sell the ring, donate the money, and move on.
