I have finalized the guest list, and now that we have a few addons, our guest list is 107, with a minimum of 75.
I am guessing out of the 107 that about 85 will actually come (based on family and people close to us). Is this a good enough estimation or should we really invite a few more people to be safe??

Janna, they say that about 20% say no. You should be ok meeting the 75 person min. If you're confident that 85 will definitely say yes then you don't have to invite any more. Figure out how many 'probably' yes and 'maybe' yes you have, that should help you rationalize if you should invite some more as a buffer. HTH!!

I would honestly invite a few more. There were some nos that we already knew about. However a few people who said they were going to come before the invites went out declined. I would only invite a few more though.

I would probably invite some more as we invited 207 and had 154, a lot of people that we thought were coming didn't.

I know....originally we were cutting people out that we wanted to invite because we weren't worrying about our minimum. But now I have not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 friends who are currently pregnant and due close to the wedding day. So I would not be surprised if some of them declined.
I added a few more and now we're up to 110. I guess I can tell FH he can add some people.
we had a 20% drop off rate...which I hear is average. so you should be ok.

If it wouldn't hurt you, invite a few more. You can always wait for a few responses and then send invites out to your 'b' list guests. Also, my brother, FH and I were last min add ons at my neighbor's wedding (my parents were invited) and that was fine with us b/c we weren't expecting invites...maybe if you run short and you have a few people invited as single people you can allow them dates (my co-workers will probably be single invites)- or add on kids....there are a few things you can do. Depends on the 85 you are counting on...good luck!
