Should we be worried?

Should we be worried?

OK, so we booked our DJ in April & he said he would send us a song list, but he never did, so last week I emailed him to remind him about the song list he'd promised & he emailed me back saying he'd put it in the mail. So we get the song list but my Dj put the wrong first name on the envelope. I mean not even close! not even starting with the same letter. My fiance was like "Should we be worried?" I thought it was pretty rude and unprofessional. I almost feel like calling him up & saying something. I know its "just another wedding" to him, but obviously to me its not. The only people who have been awsome to me have been the people where I bought my dress (Michelle Roth) and Tiffany @ the Milleridge. Everyone else seems to be so uninterested, once they got their deposit, we may as well have stopped existing. Anyone esle have similar experiences?

I sent him an email letting him know that he had the name wrong, but its still annoying.

We had the same issue with the selections...none "jumped" at us, and I hated the "women are submissive to men" undertone...

i had the same problem with our harpist. She had my fiance name spelled worng on everything she sent us and she did not call back when I called her. But my now "husband" called and set her straight. I think you should definitly call and say something about the misprint. Just call worried, and say I just wanted to make sure you have the right information. If you leave it alone, it will worry you, until the wedding day. My reception hall also was not great to deal with. Just stay on top of them and they will know who you are, make them remember you, by calling all the time to ask questions and staying in there face.

It all worked out for me. Good Luck.

Good luck

I emailed my DJ & he replied & apologized. No real harm done.

We're having our reception at Leonard's of Great Neck. It's a bit glitzier than I wanted but it was the nicest of all we saw in our price range. We're paying a bit less than your target for a Saturday afternoon next April and they were willing to negotiate a flat rate that included tax and gratuities so there won't be surprises. You might want to check them out. Your guests could take the LIRR to Great Neck and get a cab from there. It's not too far, so the cab fare should be reasonable.
