Should we get travelers checks for HM in Mexico?

Should we take travelers checks with us?
Where do you get them?

I would- Amex has a new thing- it's like a debit card- instead of getting the actaully checks- you get a card that you put money on

if it gets lost or stolen it's replaceable- cash isn't

you can get them at any bank- or try the Amex website

you can simply use your american dollars in mexico. its a simply conversion usually around 11 pesos to one us dollar.

We brought half and half and wound up using our cash the most.

I would just bring a credit card and cash. I've been to Mexico a bunch of times and have never broght travelers check with me.
