Shouldn’t they be working?

Shouldn’t they be working?

Hi ladies, I don’t post much, mostly lurk but let me ask you a question.

My FH is a HUGE tech geek, and he has been bugging me to get a twitter account. So not me since I’m shy and I mostly keep to myself, anyway I was searching for long island weddings just to see what was happening and I came across this video guys twitter thing.

He was twittering things that where happening during the wedding, shouldn’t he be working instead? I think I would be upset if one of my vendors decided to start twittering my wedding details. What do you think?

Here is the linky.

I wish somone could explain to me the purpose of twitter. How is it that a videographer found so much time to write step by step what is going on

I don't get it either, but i find it very unprofessional that he was tweeting or whatever you call it.

It's seriously as fast as sending a text message.

I have a blackberry and I tweet through Mets games (I did it last night, in fact... it was progressively worse and worse as it went). It takes no time at all to tweet stuff, so if you think about it, sending one text every half hour or so doesn't really distract you much while you're waiting for things.

I don't think I'd really appreciate my photographer tweeting during my wedding, but if it's a videographer who has things set up or has an assistant with him, there certainly should be a bit of downtime here and there to send out a bunch of messages.

I wouldn't encourage it, but it's not unheard of...

I agree with this. It's like the new-age way for them to market their services. I don't think they should be doing it during the wedding though!
