Shout Out to All June 08 Brides !!!!!!!!!!
Hey all! Only 6 more months to go as of yesterday for my June 21, 2008 wedding! Congrats to all June brides! I can't wait any longer!! I am getting really excited and stressed out!!
My fiance and I live in Pennsylvania, but are leaving today for Kings Park to visit his parents. We will be busy finalizing our guest list and sending out save the dates this weekend. We are also going to be looking for a rehearsal dinner place somewhere near Farmingdale/
Lindenhurst. Anybody know any good ones? I am thinking something overlooking the water or maybe a nice Italian place.
My fiance bought me a wedding countdown clock and it arrived yesterday (exactly 6 months before the wedding)!!! It is soooo cute and you can change the plates to countdown to baby, anniversary, or vacation when the wedding is over. I am anxiously awaiting my soon-to-be Mrs. Schmidt hoodie!!!!! I hope it does not arrive while I am in Long Island.
We went light on the gifts this year due to the wedding and got mostly wedding related stuff for each other. I got Fred a pair of newlywed flipflops that spell out just married in the sand when you walk on them. I also got him a gift card for American Male to get a manicure and pedicure for the wedding. They cater to guys. I think they have sports on the t.v. and give the guys beers and cigars???
Anyway, after the rehearsal dinner I have the following to do yet:
Order Tuxes
Start Pre-Marital Counseling
Order and Send Invitations
Buy all decorative stuff and ceremony items
Finalize table and chair linens
Meet with Cake Baker
Finalize Vows
Get Marriage License
Believe it or not, I still have not gotten my e-pics taken!!!!!!!! I went up in October to do them with Thomas Paul, but it rained after it was 80 degrees and sunny for the past two weeks!!!!!!!!! So now, I have to get indoor pics done in February in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and get my Thomas Paul pics done May 22nd (1 month before the wedding!!) The only thing I do not like about TP is that he does not have an indoor studio and waits to do the pics until right before the wedding. My mom is still upset that we did not get them done a year ago.
I also have to do my engagement video for how we met, but now we might do that after the wedding and do a look back at the wedding and how it went. Weather can be sooo frustrating.
How are all the other June brides coming along with planning? I think I am doing pretty well, but those final details are really getting to me.
Also, it is sooo time to get serious about going to the gym!! I lost 17 pounds for my e-pics in October, but have gained back 5-7 since then. I am halting the cookies and candy ASAP! I have to go for my next fitting in March and want to lose 15 pounds by then. I know I can do it if I try. My goal wait is 128. I think I am around 145 right now. Anybody else trying to lose weight out there??? I need some support. I want to plaster pics of wedding gows all over the fridge to remind me.
Happy Christmas and a blessed New Year to all!!
