SHOW ME PICS - A-Line or Princess Gowns
OK girls, I am having difficulty finding ANY GOWN that it 'ME' at this point. While I love ballgown, I think that A-Line or Princess might suit me better (I am only 5'!) ... can you girls help and post some of your gowns? Thanks so much!

This is my A line gown. Also, if you go to the knot you can do a search for dresses and choose the criteria, such as silhouette, neckline, price range, etc.

Re: SHOW ME PICS - A-Line or Princess Gowns
I'm 5'4' & I found any kind of defined waist/mock 2 peice ( like most ball gowns & everal a-line)made me look squat. So, maybe a natural waist would work better for you too, and then you cold add a crinoline.do you have any other shape concerns ( are you small or large or medium on top, anything you need to hide, etc. . .)
I'm a little on the big bisted side, so I found empire waists ( like juliet's gorgeous dress)didn't work either, but for a smaller chested petite person i think it would be great.
Here's mine:

My a-line from Diamond Bridal ( not sure why rkbridal added these rhinestones to this pic, mine does not have them)

Re: SHOW ME PICS - A-Line or Princess Gowns
I'm big chested / wide shouldered on top ... just not a happy camper with dresses I am trying on .. either too much skin (strapless) or I look like a line-backer in too much material. So frustrating. I know there is one out there! These dresses are GEORGEOUS girls ... thank you for the ideas!

Jan05 I am a fellow line backer. Try a gown with a natural/princess waist and a square neck line. For some reason that style tends to minimiza and accentuate the positive. My gown came with no sleeves but had cap sleeves added. Try dresses by MoniqueGood Luck

Thanks Wacky for the advice! I haven't tried Square Neck yet ... I've tried a lot of Sweetheart. Halter is even OK on me - but VERY uncomfortable! on the back of the neck.
I'm going tonight to try on some more!

Re: SHOW ME PICS - A-Line or Princess Gowns
I agree with what Wacky said, the style she wore might be great for you! If not , go for somethign wiht minimal straps, or small sleaves, something that will make youfeel less self conscious, but nothign 'big' to draw more attention!

Re: SHOW ME PICS - A-Line or Princess Gowns
It thought sweetheart would be good for me, but it was too much cleavage , for me.a square neckline with sheer sleeves or wide straps will definitely minimize shoulders.
