anything too detailed. They only do butter cream, no fondant.
The only way to really get around it is to use the flowers are details....

If you really want something in particular it may be worth it to find a different bakery. The great thing about LI is there are so many good ones. Alpine in Smithtown is awesome.
MY reception hall uses mylittlecupcake.com they are in farmingdale and I hear very good things and they do fondant.
Here is a photo of the cake I'm getting except that the red flowers are actually blue to match my dress (and no green leaves). And the white dots you see on the cake are also blue. ANd mine is 4 tiers instead of three.
This is buttercream, 4 tiers. The ribbon is actually burgundy, but the oils in the frosting darkened it. They told me that wouldn't happen. They also told me the topper would actually be ON the cake. It's nice enough and tasted good. It's from Create-A-Cake. Came with the package.

Ours was w/ buttercream & was included in our package by the RH. Although it didn't photograph, the cake was sage green w/ chocolate brown swirls. Quite yummy
