Show me your DRESS!

Hi ladies

I've been having some trouble deciding on styles and dresses- and making no progress! I have looked through thousands of dresses online and been to several boutiques. I am hoping this might help. =/

I'd LOVE to see what you girls have chosen as your dress, if you'd be so kind.

My dress!! First is a pic of the original dress. It's called Maeve. It's a Vineyard by POB. It came with a white bow and tails, but I had it made without that and had the seamstress make me a custom sash and bow out of my bridesmaid fabric. I love my gown!!! I was lucky enough to get to wear it a second time for Day-After portraits!! Last is one from that shoot.

Thank you thank you!! Let me tell you the best part - the tulle skirt is for the ceremony only - it is detachable and is just a sheath alencon lace gown below!!!! It's going to be my big reveal!!! I also got a belt to wear when the skirt is off. I love Monique - seriously, I have a problem.

Seriously, I die. I die. In my head I had always pictured a giant cloud of tulle as my wedding gown. When I started shopping I found my gown right away, and no tulle. So now ANY tulle gown I see I DIE!! I DIE!! You should have seen me at Kerri's Kleinfeld fitting, the girl next to her had a freaking GIANT TULLE skirt, and I was totally harassing her haha. Your gown is AMAZING!! AMAZING CAPPYGIRL!!!!!! Monique, you, everything!! Probably the classiest gown I've seen on here. The fact that the tulle comes off to reveal a sheath is SICK!!!! YOU ROCK!!!!

Everyone has such beautiful gowns. To be honest I am kind of dreading the process. I am so picky and very very short so I just feel like everything I'll try on will look wrong. Hopefully I can find my perfect match to and add it to this thread LOL

Thank you to each and every one of you who posted pics of your dress!!! They are all gorgeous. Looking through all the dresses genuinely helped. Until then, I had a very narrow idea of what I wanted- satin, simple, no pickups, no tafetta, must be ballgown, etc.

(My annoying mantra went like this: I want a strapless, a-line sillohouette with a princess ballgown bottom, ONLY in silk or satin. No pleats, tafetta, pickups. No basque waist or anything that cuts me in half- need the flow. Want light lace applique or some emboridery- no over the top beadwork or head to toe bling)

Well, after looking at all your dresses, I went dress shopping today- probably the sixth dress place I went to. And I found 'the one'. It was EVERYTHING I said I didn't want- and I loooove it! I 'thought I hated tafetta AND pick-ups- well, surprise surprise, my dress has BOTH!

Thank you girls for helping me open my mind to other styles!!!
