Show Me Your Shoes!

Original post by eatzwells

Hi Everyone,

Those who don't mind sharing, can you post pictures of the shoes you wore and those your bridesmaids wore (maybe even the designers)?

I need ideas!

TIA!

I didn't have a lot of options because I needed something with at LEAST a 4 inch heel. My FH is a good foot taller than me and I didn't want it to look funny in pictures...

With that said, these are my shoes... I love them and they are super comfy. I would have loved something 'fancier' but with a heel that high, it was hard to find.

My FH is a foot taller than me also..but the highest I'm going is 2.5 in heels.

bad knee I'm 32 going on 82.

Still looking for my shoes.

yeah the shoes i got, i think they are 3 inch heels - they look and feel a lot higher than that but when im wearing them im not that much taller at all - i think its because the front is very flat - there isnt any platform, so there isnt much lift going on

i dont know how im going to manage in them though! i know for CH im changing into my wedge flip flops and after our entrance into the reception im putting my flips flops back on until i change dresses - then for the last 3 hours or so ill have to brave dancing in those heels! i know that the killer will be standing in them for the ceremony! im in the process of ordering all types of cushions to test out!

it might not be bad. My shoes were 3.5 inch heels. They were extremely comfortable. What matters more and what will cause your feet to hurt is the arch. YOu can have 2 shoes same exact heel but one shoe will have a very high arch and the arch starts more front than the other shoes. I knew i would be fine with my shoes bc it didnt arch from all the way in the front like some shoes do

i think my shoes have an evil arch - they are one of the more comfy pairs that i tried on, but when i was walking around the apartment in them on a wood floor i could start to feel that presure on the ball of my foot - so i think it def might be worthwhile to try out some inserts - i know an insert isnt magic but any little bit im sure will help

are you wearing those shoes all night or only when you change into your 2nd dress? if so then it wont be bad. Yeah try it with inserts and see if it will help, although the problem comes from having your foot arched in that position for so long.

I had a pair of flats with me, well they were in my overnight bag for our hotel stay. SO i knew if anything i can always change into those flats. Surprisingly i didnt and was real comfortable all night. Its funny bc my feet hurt when i finally did take the shoes off, just felt swollen. One thing my cousin said and its true, DONT TAKE THEM OFF during the reception even for a few mins bc it will hurt more. She says when you take them off thats when your feet will get swollen and it always hurts more when you put them on after.

thats def true - its always harder to put them back on!! if i cant break them in well enough i might just get a more comfy pair for the ceremony and then change into those when i switch dresses later on - i mainly bought the shoes for the 2nd dress since they will match well

my FH is going to be a foot taller than me with my shoes on! hahahaha! i was thinking of getting something with a platform but after i bought my short dress i knew i needed something more dainty since my feet would be showing - i really got to break them in b/c once that short reception dress goes on there is no turning back!

yeah chris will definitely be a foot taller than me. i got 3 inch heels (maybe they are 3 1/2 not sure) but I am still going to be short...i just need to make sure i can wear them all night otherwise i will look like a midgit next to him haha

yeah then i would keep the shoes for the 2nd dress if you think the shoes might be uncomfortable that day.
