Could you post pics of bustles for organza dresses? If you are already married, did you bustle survive the reception and lasted the whole time without ripping?

I have a pick up organza skirt and I was told they could bustle it with just three or four threads. I didn't know they have ripped before.

The organza overlay is very fragile and it happened to another bride but her bustle was an 'under' the skirt pick up bustle. Safety pins did not work. It kept ripping.

My dress is organza and I am doing a regular bustle-- I have no pics thugh, because I did not take any at my fitting. I think a french bustle looks weird. JMHO.

What do you mean by 'regular' bustle? Do you have a pick up bustle with buttons?

I was told by my seamstress that an organza gown can only have a one point bustle, thats what I had. I will try to find a pic.The only pic I could find is from my fitting:

Sophie,My dress had an organza overlay and I had no problems with it whatsoever. Mind you I had a simple 3 button bustle, but as long as they do it right, it should not rip.
People will step on your dress all night, as long as you tell the seamstress to make sure they bustle the dress to make it high enough to not be touching the floor (maybe a slight bit above) you should be okay.
