So my MOH asked me for a list of women for my shower (which I already know is Memorial Day weekend at a really cool restaurant - way to be discreet MOH!). So who is usually invited to the shower? Just close family/friends? I don't want to leave anyone off and offend them, but I don't want it to be hugmungous! FH is from a large Italian family, so I have no idea who to invite from his side especially!
Thoughts?
I am so clueless with everything!

Why don't you ask DH who he thinks you should invite from his family

I did - but really just got a grumble that he doesn't know who is 'supposed' to be invited to showers. He is always a HUGE help We really are the blind leading the blind over hear sometimes when it comes to this wedding planning stuff

Re: Shower
Just don't forget the spouses/significant others of the groomsmen.....if it's a 'real' relationship. One of my BM's and I were omitted from a shower where both our FH/DH's were in the party - and it was really uncomfortable (people kept asking us at the rehearsal dinner and wedding why we didn't go to the shower......ummm...because we weren't invited?!?).

Re: Shower
I invited all of the women that are on the guest list, with the exception of the people that FH or I didn't know or have not met yet. (For instance my brother's friend's GF is not invited, because I don't know her and never met her, but she is invited to the wedding!)

That could be ALOT of people!! In my case, my wedding guest list was almost 500 people! I only asked that my closest friends and family be invited.

Oh ok - I wasn't sure if it was ALL the women on the guestlist - or just close/immediate family (aunts, 1st cousins). The problem is my MOH said she wants to limit it to 60 people - but if I invite all the women it will be up near 90 or even 100! That is huge!

Re: Shower
depends. over 100 is huge, but you gotta figure some are going to say no, vacation, surgery, cat has a hang-nail, the list of excuses goes on for miles....you can say to moh and your mom and fmil, who you want there. only family. or friends/close family. its really about you and they should honor your requests.
