Who should be invited to the bridal shower? someone told me that all the ladies that are getting an invitation to the wedding are supposed to be invited??? Thats ALOT of people. Would it be wrong to just invite family and then the bridal party?

I've been invited to weddings and not invited to the shower. And I didn't mind at all. Save dmyself some money
HOWEVER, whoever you invite to the shower must be invited to the wedding.

The rule of thumb is that you must invite everyone to the wedding that you invite to the shower, but everyone invited to the wedding does NOT have to be invited to the shower.
It depends on the individual - some like small intimate gatherings, or some (like my cousin's) invite all the women. . . HTH

It's your shower so you invite whoever you would like. Like the previous posts...whoever is invited to the shower must also be invited to your wedding.

No, you do NOT Invite every lady who is invited to the wedding to the shower. It is only for family and close friends of the bride / groom.

A lot of brides like to have an intimate shower with just family and the BP, just make sure to invite your FH's immediate family too (mom, sisters, grandma).
You don't have to invite every woman who's invited to the shower, but like the others have said if you invite someone to the shower then they have to be invited to the wedding.
