Shower

My wedding is Feb 29,2008 but I was talking to my MOH today about my bridal shower and I told her that maybe she should have it in August or September because then she can have it outside in a friends yard and not worry about renting a place, what do you all think about this, is it too early to have the shower? I mean thats like 5 months before the wedding i just don't know, please help me!!! TIA

Also we didn't have an engagement party so its not like that would be too close

I am having my shower 3 months before my wedding...I think you can have it whenever you (or your bridal party) want to do it. A friend of mine had her sister's shower in January and her wedding is in August.

Hi! I'm getting married on Feb 29 too! Haven't found too many other leap day brides.

I think its a great idea to have it in the summer - especially since the wedding is going to be during cold weather. Plus, love the idea of having it at a friends house - keeps it intimate.

I know people think its so strange that I'm getting married on leap year but I we think its pretty cool. FH thinks it gets him out of remembering our anniversary every year but I told him that either he better remember every year or get me a really good gift every 4 years!!

I tell mine that we have to celebrate twice every year in between! Once on 2/28 and once on 3/1. He seems ok with it - for now at least! haha!

yeah i have shower to attend to in July and the boupe isnt getting married till Jan. ... i was thinking of having mine in Nov. and i wont be married till april

me too! esp since my party would be in roch-cha-cha, and you can never predict the weather in the winter months
