my reasons for Novemeber.. i dont want to risk a snow storm havng it in dec, jan, feb
March is too close to the wedding
and dec,jan,feb = holiday season.
so what are your thoughts?

Re: shower
That is really early. I think its usually 2 to 4 months before, but technically there are no rules. Do whatever you feel comfortable with!
I'm guessing this is not a suprise shower?

Re: shower
As long as the shower isn't 6 months before, i think november could work. IMO, i think November is a little warly for me. My wedding is in April too and having the shower in january or february would be better for me.

Re: shower
IMO for an April wedding i don't think November is a good time to have the shower. i personally feel thats way too far in advance. plus many people may be under a lot of pressure with the upcoming holidays. i think you would be better off having it january or february. you may even get more registry items with after the holiday sales.

Re: shower
I think you should have it for the month you like best. Late November would be good that way it doesn't seem to early but this also good b/c it's before the holidays and gives people a chance to recover before your wedding. You can do the bachelorette party closer to the wedding.

Oh, please tell me that your BP is doing this for you (that is of course if you want one)? Wait, but I think I remember you saying the BP is small and one of them is really young. Either way, I don't think there's anything wrong with planning your stuff. I definitely want a lot of input.

Re: shower
My SIL 's shower was 9 months before her wedding because her mom wanted it to be in the summer. Forget the rules and do whatever you want.
