SHOWER and ENGAGEMENT PICS question.....

hey everyone! i dont want to overload you guys with too many questions in one post - but here are my 2 quick questions:

bridal shower - is this something that your bridal party usually puts together and then the brides mom helps with things?? or does your mom usually head the whole thing the the BM's help here and there...

engagement pics - i was thinking about taking engagement pics and sending them out to family and friends, however, i was thinking of taking the pics ourselves with a digital camera and printing out like 150 from walgreens or someplace like that and then mailing them to ppl with a little thing that says 'we're engaged blah blah blah' haha i was wondering if anyone has done this before and can give me some ideas.....

Shower - The answer to your question is, it depends. Sometimes the mother pays for everything and sometimes the bms do.

Engagement Pics - Book your photographer before you do anything. A lot of times an engagement session will be included in your package at no extra charge. What you're talking about doing sounds like a wonderful idea, but you may want to wait until you have your date and location. This way you can use the pictures as your save the date.

The shower my mother is paying for completely - my bp is not involved. BUT in most cases the BP chips in and gives that too you and your mom might just be the one who helps organize the people who are being invited.

You can do both prof. engagement shots that are given by the photographer you book or do your own. Most cases the photographer gives you a disk of the photographs and you still need to have them printed out but your getting quality photographs.
