Shower date- need opinions

I need opinions from all of you lovely ladies...

I'm one of those brides that's a bit of a control freak & is helping to plan my shower (don't judge me! haha) but anyway, I'm in love with this restaurant and they only have 2 dates that are available in September (I would've preferred August or even late July but they're all booked up).

So my question is...do you think that a month and a half is to soon before the wedding to have the shower? The exact dates would be September 17th for the shower and November 4th for the wedding. TIA!!

i don't think that's too early at all. i went to a shower once that was 3 weeks before the wedding - ur proposed date is 6-7 weeks before

i already know my shower is narrowed down to 4 weekends: august 14, 21 or sept 4

mine is 5 weeks before the wedding. I would've preferred it earlier but I think you're okay

eta: I only preferred it earlier since I have my bach party in may which is a weekend away so I didn't want two weekends taken the month before my wedding since I knew I'd have so much stuff to do

Not at all!! Do it! My wedding is 5/21 and I just had my shower on 4/2! I wanted to wait until the end of ski season!!

That should be pretty good!!! Have you tried both Saturdays and Sundays???
What restaurant is it??? Now you have me nervous that the place I have in mind may book up!!! EEEK LOL

Im also planning to help with my shower plans and do not wanna be surprised LOL
