My mom and sister are throwing me my shower, and I consulted with my fiancee in compiling the guest list to give to them. The invites went out on Friday, and today my mom decided to call my FMIL and check the guest list with her, who proceeded to name 9 additional people she felt should be invited. I am so frustrated that it didn't even occur to my FH and I to think about these other family members! And my mom and sister then had to deal with getting the invites out asap for the new guests so no one noticed anything fishy, and I have to apologize all around. Ugh.

I wouldn't worry about it. You got the invites out and that's all that matters. Don't beat yourself up.

Don't beat yourself up! things happen...and all the invites are out now. If it makes you feel any better...I put the wrong last name on my FH's sister's wedding invitation

It happens! You are in the middle of planning a wedding.....things/people get forgotten! Don't stress out, they were added, no harm done!

I agree with the other ladies - it happens and no one will be the wiser.....there's no mail delivery today anyway so I think you're good!!
