Does anyone have any idea's for shower favors, apart from the usual candle, picture frame holder? I sort of want to do something a little different.

My sister went to a wedding and they gave our potholder sets. For my shower my sister gave out bath beads and it said 'From Dawn's Shower to Yours'.

My good friend had her shower a few years ago and her sisters planned it. They gave out the cutest favors. They had a basket of 2 different shades of pink nail polish in a basket and gave one to each of the ladies on the way out.

For my friends shower, I bought little galvanized pails and filled them with bags of dirt, green shredded paper and bags of daisy seeds. I printed out tags and tied them to the pail with raffia.

I also saw little jars of flavored honey that had little bee tags on them. They said 'Dawn and Steven are meant to 'Bee' together! I thought that was cute!

Also, if anyone is having an 'afternoon tea' for a shower, then the bath tea bags are a great shower gift.

One friend had small porcelain baskets with two mini-bottles of cuticle oil. Another friend had heart and bell shaped cookie cutters wrapped with tulle with potpourri inside.

I know this sounds silly, but I always wanted to make a shower and have pretty umbrellas be the favor.

For my aunt's shower I did little galvanized watering cans (bought them for a dollar each in walmart) and filled them with little bags of homemade wedding-related (bells, doves, hearts, brides, etc) chocolates.

At mine last weekend my mom had spray painted flower pots with dress shaped cookies sticking out of them. They were the colors of the birdesmaid dresses and the one is the middle was a bride! They were tasty!

Luckylucy - i am getting the silver tins from tehre with the perfect pear sticker- we are putting jellybeans in them! We probably will also order the rice packet kit.
