i went with my mom today to get favors for my shower. We ended up choosing a divided serving dish that comes with a wire rack. from Casa Elite. I am kinda irritated that i have to plan my own shower... it is kinda depressing... but i guess i have to get it done somehow...
We also bought armani statues to give to the bridesmaids at the shower... i did not know we had to do this, but my mom said it is customary to give a gift at the shower to the bm.
We did not yet choose wedding favors... i wanted the espresso cups and saucers but my mom said too many people have given that already...
so tired of planning... none of this is fun
edited to add: i just looked up casa elite on the internet and they had the dish i ordered for $8.49... we payed $9.99 plus 2 dollars for the packaging... how annoying
where did u end up buyign the armani figurines? they are so expensive i might end up doing lladro instead, not that it makes any difference in price.

we bought them at this place called 'markella's' in astoria... i thought they were ok, but would have rather spent the money on buying the girls a cool purse... but my mom insisted!

It is Italian tradition to buy the Armani statues for the girls...your mom probably bought you the Armani husband and wife statue as well.....Just go with it and dont even fight it...hahahahahaaa Thats what I did...

yeah it is an italian thing, i dont' get it cause you also have to get them other gifts for being a bridesmaid.
