I have a baby shower to go to - my husband's cousin's wife. I dont' know her well - she is having a boy. Not registered. Any suggestions? I can't really spend more than 50-75 dollars....what do ya'll need?

How about a nice diaper bag filled w/ odds and ends? I gave that to a friend for her shower and she loved it.

but what are the odds and ends? I don't even know where the odds and ends ARE on a baby!
like baby powder and diapers? booties? things like that? what does mommy need? (besides rest and a new husband because she'll kill hers during labor? _)

Sleepers. I swear by them. Thet are so greatr. A gift certificate is always good. I know it is plain but it was my favorite gift. What you can also do is make a gift basket of shampoo and stain remover and just little things she will need. Trust me the little things are the best. Formula is hhard because you really dont know what kind the baby will take to. Good Luck.

Exactly-like baby powder, wipes, burping clothes, bottles, bottle brushes, small toys, rattles, baby shampoo/wash, nail clippers, soft brush. Also-maybe some massage foot lotion for the mom is also great to throw in.

You can't have to many onesies, socks, vaseline, pajamas, bibs,& baby lotion
You can also do something different like film & photo albums!!!

My FAVORITE ITEM, that I received from DH's cousin, after her kids used it, is called a snap-n-go, its much LIGHTER than a stroller, and its great when I travel with the baby alone. The carseat snaps right into it, its light, easy to open and close..
You can shop around online, there are a few different pricepoints.
It fits most carseats. Its a MUST HAVE !!! Alot of moms inthe malls stop me to ask me where I got it, who makes it, etc etc...

anna - I love the snap n go!!! Thats a great gift. Also clothes for when the baby is older like 6, 9 or 12 months. Just make sure its fitting for the season!!

She didn't register? Maybe you can call her Mom and ask what she likes OR ask your DH's Mom/sister to go in for one large gift. What about a bathset? bath seat, bath wash, hooded towels, washclothes, a bath toy or two (rubber duckies), baby shampoo- all in a pretty basket.

The Snap N Go stroller is the BEST item!! When we were still in California, practically EVERY mom in the malls had one. They are a necessity - and save you from lugging the heavier strollers too often.
I don't know what I'm gonna do without mine now that Paul has outgrown the infant seat.

I agree with the Snap & Go as a great idea in your price range - I thought I wouldn't use one b/c the car seat fits in my stroller but it's so much easier to use and the basket underneath is huge. My SIL had one that I am borrowing but the newer ones have the 'parent tray' up top where you can put a drink and such.
I guess she had her reasons for not registering but that leaves and awful lot to chance with all the products out there.
