Re: shower gift

I would get her something else but not give it to her at the shower.
Maybe a few days later.
Saying 'I wanted to get you something special aside from the shower gift'. I think a massage gift certificate would be great.
So she can take a small break with the planning and get pampered for a lil bit.

I was thinking of doing the same thing... like maybe even ordering something from her registry and having it shipped to her so that the others don't see it lol. is that bad?

LoL
They may see that as being mean and 1uping them.. make sense?

Something personalized or something that has meaning to just the two of you would be less trouble starting LOL

Re: shower gift

yes definitely... my fiance suggested giving her and her fiance something from the 2 of us, rather than just girl to girl...

but am I wrong to say that spending 50 isn't enough for a good friend?

Re: shower gift

I think $50 is the normal cost for a gift. If I am in the bridal party I will spend $100. It's really up to you how much you want to spend but if you do a group gift you have to consider everyone elses money situation.

I think getting another gift is perfectly fine! I do this all the time just because I come across little items that I 'must' buy. You can give it to her after or if she just got a place you can give it as a house warming gift.

and no i dont thinmk its wrong to want to spend more on a good friend. I do it all the time for my good friends!

That's a good idea. From both of you would be good.

With how much to spend... The Least I spend on a shower gift is $50. So for a good friend I I usually double and then some.
And for me, there really is no limit for family and friends who are like family.
