Shower Gifts

I have 2 showers coming up and I have no idea how much I should be spending on the gifts. For one shower my FH is a GM in the bridal party and for the other shower I am a BM. Help please!

Being the fact that you are both apart of the BP's of these two weddings, that means you are important people to these Brides/Grooms. I would suggest $75-150 for a gift. Why don't you check their registry... A blender with a Margarita theme, or the Knife Block Set, or even just one of their Place Settings for the china... Have fun!

This is what I usually spend, but it's really up to you and your budget:

People I'm not close to: $40-50

People I'm close to: $75-125

If I was a BM I'd spend at least $100, same if FH was a GM

I would say that you should spend around $75-125.

I'd say to spend what ever your heart tells you too.
It depends on your feelings towards these people.

I always but from my heart, not what I think I should spend.

I agree, you know yourself & your freinds better than anyone... I know what I would do, but it may not be what is best for you!

Besides, something useful or thoughtful may have more weight than something expensive

It really depends how close you are to the people and your financial situation. I am a BM in my best friends wedding and I spent $250 on shower gifts for her. But when I go to other showers I usually pick stuff off the registry and spend between $50 - $100, depending how close I am to them.
