Shower Guest List Help

So ... when I began to sit down and do the numbers my shower is going to be huge! And honestly, not something I really want. I understand that its family from both sides of course, the bridal party and close friends. But all the girls I am inviting are close friends otherwise they wouldnt be invited to the wedding. What about the girls on future hubby's side? How does it work?

I invited my close friends and family, FH's family, and the wives/girlfriends of his ushers/closest friends.

we kept the list at 45, but it helped that we are only inviting 160 to the wedding!!!!

My shower list is at like 100 so I am not much help. I want to cut it down. It's hard.

FH family is like 4 girls coming, and only 3 gf of the gm, the rest is my family = (

We invited about 100. We had 85. I thought it was perfect.

Although we had it at a private room in the Three Village Inn.

If it was in someones house I think it would have been a bit too much.

Yeah- do you have an idea of location?

We have a private room at a restaurant in DC that seats 40 comfortably (can actually seat 45).

We are inviting 47 (including me, my mom, and my sister). We know right off the bat that 5 can't come.
