Shower Help!!!!!! Kinda Long

Ok girls...I need your help...My MOH is starting to get my shower together...she lives in DC so it's been a bit of a struggle. My parent are divorced and my dad has been remarried for about 10 years so I am fairly close to my step mom. She had offered to throw the shower for my MOH since she doesn't live here and finances are tight. She refused and said A. she really wanted to do it and B. she thought might make my mom feel uncomfortable. Fine the planning continued...then my mom offered her best friend's house for the shower but that would probably make my stepmom a little uncomfortable. So here's the question:

We need ideas for an inexpensive brunch shower...restaurant, someone's home we are overlooking, anything....any advice you girls have would be great!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!

I'm not sure what area you're looking in, but I think most restaurants can probably work with you. Menu prices can go down if you don't offer alcohol or maybe just wine and beer, etc. Look into a brunch menu rather than a 3 course meal. Or maybe a tea party? Or a chinese buffet?

Good luck.

If you don't mind chinese check out The Orchid in garden city - it is a nice restaurant, it is not a buffet and I think (when I looked into it for a friends baby shower 2 years it was like 13 or 15$ a person for a luncheon) - the food is great - many people go there for business lunches and there are a lot of showers there.
