Shower Ideas

I’m hoping you ladies might have some good ideas for me. My family and BM’s are really looking forward to throwing me a shower…the thing is I’ve lived in my house for 7 yrs and my FI has lived on his own forever…between the both of us we have so much. We could use a few things, but when we sat down and went over everything it’s not really enough to do a registry. The honeymoon fund is out because it’s already been paid in full. My co-worker suggested doing a shower where in lieu of a gift the guests were asked to bring their favorite recipe on a recipe card for the bride. I thought it was super cute! I was wondering if anyone else had any unique ideas like this.

Do you want/need new furniture at all? Raymour and Flannigan has a fund where you can 'register' for furniture but it is bascially just money towards a gift card to buy what ever you want from them

also you can register on Etsy and get personalized items. You can also registry at Home Depot, so if you need any windows or tools to work on your house, you can register for those kind of items.. or people may just give you some gift cards there..
