Gift Certificates, as the ladies above have mentioned, are always welcomed!!!

I agree with all that's been posted. I think a gift certificate to the store that they were registered at would be helpful. I received a few of those Simon Certs - and am using them to finish off lots of little things on my registry that no one purchased. My lenox wedding frame was one of my favorite gifts - as was a crystal vase from Tiffanys (both not registered for)

Here's an alternate. My aunt always gives the bride or the mother a small shower gift for the household/baby and then gives a gift to the bride/mother for herself. Not off the registry. Sometimes its nice to break from tradition and help celebrate just her as the bride (along the lines of the nightgowns and stuf). Know what I mean?

I'd suggest nice day of beauty at a spa like Elizabeth Arden. She's love it...esp. just before the wedding when she's super stressed. You can order online and they'll ship the certificate to you via fed ex.

That's really neat! I like that! Might even make a good wedding gift as well! :o)
