Shower Invitation Etiquette

Hi- I know this has probably been posted before, but need your girls help! My friend's mother needs a way to tactfully state on the shower invitation that the couple really has everything, but would love $ for the HM. Any ideas on wording? I kind of told her this is never done, but is insisting on it!!! HELP!! TIA!!

I personally think that it's bad etiquette to mention that ANY kind of gift is more WANTED than others. I think that you friend should do her registry at a place like BB&B where she can get cash back for her returns

Offhand to request $ is quite a no, no, but you can register for contributions for the honeymoon on www.honeymoonwishes.com and choose other things you want as well....then they can just put this site in the card....

WOW. I am in the same position. FH and I just moved in together and we already have to do a yard sale for our duplicate. We really just need $$$

There is no tactful way to ask for money. I think that a honeymoon registry is probably the best solution.

A honeymoon registry is a great idea, but she probably will still get a LOT f blenders, etc, because that's what people ae used to giving!

maybe suggest something like 'Gift Cards Welcome...' That way they can save them for later when they need something. ort maybe 'Supermarket Gift cards welcome' I dont get offended by the cash thing but there are def. people who do. Good luck
