Shower Invite Issue...

Ok, so my shower is not a surprise,anymore. It was but there were too many issues w/ FMIL & FSIL. I am now planning it w/ my MOHs & BMs...

My shower is Sept 11th ., I recv;d the invitations today, and when we ordered through Vista Print, we put the MOHs & BMs name on the invites as hosted by.... At the time we placed the order I thought it made perfect sense to just put those who were financially contributing to the shower on the invite...My dilemma now is, I also have 3 Jr. BMs & 2 FGs... Now I feel bad the Jr. Bms are 18, 16, 13, & the FGs are both under 10...

So now I am wondering if I should toss the invites & order new ones, w/ rush delivery (these were $60/100) and not put anyone's name on it except the MOHs for RSVP purpose, or just leave it as is... Since the BMs & MOHs are the ones covering the cost of the shower... Idk what to do... What would you do?

im not sure i completely understand what you're asking

do you mean you put the names of only the BMs that are contributing financially as 'hosted by'? i think that's fine

the jr BMs will have to get over it -they're not contributing monetarily so it's not 'hosted by' them

that makes sense to me

If ur MOH & BM ARE HOSTING (and giving the mony for it) then THEIR names should be in it...
not the Jr bm...

my invite said my mom and sister (MOH)'s names on it since they were hosting

none of my other BMs or my other MOH were listed

and my shower was a surprise - i had no participation in the planning

my sis (MOH) made a sign to put on the dais of the bridal party at the shower that had all of our names on it which i thought was nice - she did the free banner on vistaprint which is like 1.5' x 3' and is free but you pay $7 shipping for it

i think there is a pic of it in my shower album

i think you should only list those who are financially contributing. IMO, if i saw an invite and it had the flower girls name on it as part of the group hosting, i would think that is odd! it should be whoever is paying/organizing it

Thanks girls, I feel a lot better. it's SO odd, but this shower is thus far the most stress I've felt in this whole process... I saw the invitations, and wasn't sure if we did the right or wrong thing by not listing the entire BM... It does make sense to just put those who are contributing financially name's on the invites. Lisa, thank you for sharing the banner idea, I like it, SO much I think I'll do it too.
