Im planning my sisters shower and she and her FH are moving to Canada shortly after the wedding and have already lived together so they really don't want a lot of gifts but would prefer gift cards instead. How do I let people know about this? Is it tacky to put it with the invite? Or just word of mouth? TIA!

I'm not sure there is a way to do this without seeming tacky. Maybe she could register for things, then return them for a gift card?

She could register for gift cards at her favorite stores and then u can just put www.weddingchannel.com on the invite to show where she is registered. That site links up to all of the registries. It won't look as tacky!
Or u could just say that they are moving right after the wedding so gift cards to the following stores would be most appreciated.
