I asked FMIL for a list of folks that had to be invited to the shower - she gave me 10 people, and they're invited.

My Matron of Honor and mother decided it would just be my Dad's family, Mom's family and the wedding party with FH mother being invited. FMIL didn't feel as though her family or her husband's family would want to get together and throw me a wedding shower, so I wanted to be with the family that did want to be with me.

yeah My mom told me who was invited... I even gave her 5 girls from my job that I wanted invited!

yes... only the ones who are close with me. his aunt and daughter, who are the only ones who live in NY

UGH - the list FMIL gave me has aunts, cousins, great aunts and second cousins.

I sent an email to my FSIL and asked her what she did. His family is not close or family oriented in any way, so I'm hoping i won't have to invite them. I have enough between my family and friends and of course the BP
