I got a call from my mom yesterday that the 56th fighter group is closing, 6 weeks before my shower! My mom had the invites all stamped and ready to go. She was pretty stressed out about it. I feel so bad. So FYI, before anyone books anywhere make sure they're not closing anytime soon!

That's terrible! I'm sorry this happened.
My cousin had that happen to her but for her wedding! It was in another state though, not NY but I could only imagine getting that call. Hopefully your mom can find another location.

Thanks guys. They are refunding the deposit and claim they are going to give her the money for the invitations. My cousins have volunteered their house for the shower, which is very sweet, so at least we have a location!
