Shower Nightmare!!!

I went to my DH's cousin's shower this weekend and to make a long story short a fight broke out in the parking lot. The brides brother was supposed to be there to help load the gifts in the car but he came late. The MOG was complaining to the MOB that the brother should have been there. Mind you, the groom himself was not there to help. Then the brides brother showed up and the grooms sisters (who are in the BP) and cousin started screaming at the brides brother in the parking lot. He tried to let it go, but they kept yelling at him, so he started screaming at them telling them to leave. He was so upset that this was happening at his sisters shower. Then the MOB and MOG started screaming at each other and the MOB told the bride that she shouldn't marry into this family. Then the bride started crying.

I felt so bad for this poor girl because she has 3 white-trash FSIL's that had to act up at the shower and ruin the entire day and really put a shadow over the entire wedding.


Would you keep them in your bridal party?

I guess what I'm trying to say is, just when you think the petty arguing is so annoying, think of how bad it can really get. So sad.

our neighbor was just over and she was saying how anoying it is that people cannot focus on the happiness of the bride and groom and the celebration, it's all about everyone else's issues and problems..I would have to agree... to the bride even tho I don't know her

That is a very sad story. People become sooo petty and selfish sometimes. I feel bad for you DH's cousin

And no...they'd have a one way ticket out of my bridal party...I don't care who I make mad. Then again, I have been known to be mean.

I realize its a stressful and tense time for everyone. But if you really have a problem, wait, talk it out later, or duke it out later, but respect that persons special day and put your pride in your back pocket.

How sad...I hope everything works out for her..I'll say a prayer for her tonight

WOW... that's terrible. People don't realize how their actions can turn what's supposed to be a dream day into a lifetime of bad memories. That's how she's always going to remember her showes? Wow... I'm sorry that happened.

Weddings really do bring out the WORST in people!!!
