I invited a friend to my shower but she did not come (don't know why) and never sent a gift. I just got invited to her shower and i am available that day to go.....
Would you go and if so what type of gift would you give?
I am not really into the whole 'you didn't acknowlege mine so I won't go to yours' thing, but I also am not going to get a very expensive gift.
Just looking for opinions.

I would be upset if she was close to me and didnt even give her regrets for not going. Can you ask her why she wasent there?
If she blows you off than I wouldnt go. If their was a good reason than go, but dont give a huge gift.

I dont think that I would go. I would assume that she invited me because I invited her....adn that she is not really expecting me there or to send a gift...since she never sent one.

We're not exceptionally close, but good enough friends that we would invite each other to each other showers. I never felt right asking her why she did not come to mine and she never offered an explanation, but I personally don't feel right not to go. I guess i'll just buy her something that is not expensive like tubberware or something.
