Am I supposed to invite people that FH is close with even though I've never met them?

Re: Shower Question
If it's like a family member who lives far away and that's why you've never met them, I would say yes. If it's friends no.

You can invite them... if they don't know you, they prob won't come anyway.

Its his coworkers. I don't want them to think I'm only inviting them because I want a gift but I also don't want to get get offended if I don't invite them.

I don't think it's necessary to invite his co-workers and they prob wouldn't come anyway. I wouldn't bother sending them an invitation.

Re: Shower Question
I wouldn't invite them.
I'm with the OP... I tend to feel like sending shower invitations to people you don't know comes off like you just want to get the gift. I also don't think it's appropriate to invite coworkers to a shower unless you're also close friends with them.
If, however, your FH Is close friends with them, then you might consider inviting them... However, if they are really that close, you would probably know them better, right?
I don't agree with just sending the invites since they probably won't come anyway... If you send an invite to a shower, MOST people feel obligated to give a gift, even if they don't come.
I'd discuss all this with your FH... I probably would not invite them, though. Even if they are that close to your FH, they aren't that close to you. Since they're not family, I can't see why they would be offended if they weren't invited, seeing as they don't really know you.

I dont think they would expect to be invited, not being a direct friend of yours.....I just dont think thats how it works.
