My wedding has come and gone, and I never had a shower.....but I'm hoping that you guys can help me out! I just received a shower invitation for a 'couples shower' in the mail today....for a shower that is in 2 weeks. That is not a lot of notice. I sort of feel like we may have been invited last minute; as an obligatory relative invite. Needless to say, we will not be attending due to the short notice. My question is......do I send a gift for this????????
If it were a close friend, I wouldn't even question it....but it is a distant cousin. Advice, please! Thanks

I would send a gift, maybe a gift card to where they are registered, but nothing big

Re: shower question....
You ladies are nicer than me.... I MIGHT send them a card, lol.... I don't know about a gift... especially if I was feeling like I wasn't a first priority to invite in the first place. If they were inivted to your wedding and got you something nice than send a small present... but then again, you are all nicer than me!

I actually never knew the ettiquite until my shower - FH and I have received gifts from guests not going, so I think you should send one.
