Shouldn't the shower have happened or at least the invitations to the shower have been sent out prior to the wedding invitations being sent out?

Make sure your dressed nice EVERYWHERE you go! It's gotta be really, really soon! What makes you think that the invites haven't gone out yet?

I think the invites to the wedding should go out first...that way you already know the guest list to pick the shower invitees from. Otherwise, you might get someone who is invited to the shower that doesnt get invited to the wedding.

They told me that they are just going out. Found out why the shower is happening so late (yes I know that this may not be considered late but I had kind told my Mom no additional stress or chaos from May-15 to June 26 due to finals getting grades done and other end of the year stuff so guess when they scheduled the shower--LOL Thank to FMIL! Oh well, now I know the answer to my own question. Thanks anyway
