Shower- thank you card etiquette

Hey girls!---how long after the bridal shower should thank you notes go out?

Mine went out within 3 weeks...I can't stand to have things like that hanging over my head!

I had them all written out within 3 weeks and I had them stamped and everything and put them in a bag to bring to the post office. And then I lost the bag. But! I found it eventually and they wound up being sent out about 2 months after the shower. WHOOPS!

I had my engagement party this past Saturday and my thank you cards were all mailed on Tuesday. HAHA I figured get them over with and done. I had 95 people but it didn't take too long and it felt good to be done with it!

My shower was July 16 and I sent the TYs out the first week of August, so about 3 weeks.

Definitely within a month. Don't wait too long b/c before you know it you'll have wedding thank yous to send out!

I like to get thank you cards out asap. Doesn't mean it has to be that week, but maybe sent out by the 2nd week. I once went to a shower and didn't receive a thank you until literally 2 months after. I completely forgot about it until I got the card. I feel like you kind of want your fam and friends to have the party fresh in their minds when they get the card lol.

I did mine the next day LOL The sooner the better. I am now trying to decided for the wedding thank you's
