Shower Thank You's...what to write?

Any suggestions on what to write to thank everyone for coming and their generous gift?

I want to write something really nice but just not sure how to word it or what to say.
Thanks!

Its been a while since I did mine but I wrote something like...Thank you for the beautiful vase, I can't wait to display it in my new home. Thank you for sharing in my special day...blah blah blah... it sounds cheezy but at least your sending out Thank You's. I know a few people who don't send thank you's at all...

I tried to be specific with the gift - for example

Thank you so much for your gift. The frames are lovely! I can't wait until we have some wedding photos to put in them.

I also added something about it was great to see you, etc...

Always mention the gift and your intentions for it. If someone gives you money, say something like, Thank you for your generous/ beautiful gift, we will be using the money toward the purchase of ______________ house or honeymoon or displaying your gift in our home or using it for ___________. Usually I put something thoughful that they will be happy to hear.
And then rethank them again and express that you will be thinking of them everytime you use or see, whatever. I got some really nice compliments on my thank you, especially since a purchases a book on it.

And if someone gave you money, still try to bs the same way.

'Thanks for the generous gift. We plan on using your gift card to finish buying our china, etc

Good luck. You can actually have some fun with it. I swear sometimes I felt like I was a 1950s housewife.

'I can't wait until I can set the table and use the lovely tablecloth and napkins....'

LOL
