Shower - to be surprised or not

My mom asked me last night if I wanted my bridal shower to be a surprise or not.....

at first I thought I wanted to be surprised, but now I am not sure??

What are the pro's/con's of being/not being surprised??

it will be a huge surprise for me. i know absolutely nothing about my shower. my sister already took the dress i purchased so i have to be ready at a moments notice!!

i don't want to be surprised with location/date but i want to be surprised with centerpieces, games, etc etc.

I want to know about it... to a point. I told my mom I better at least know when it is so I can show up looking cute and not in my usual sweats and a ponytail for when I go over to her place to do wedding stuff. I'd like to be surprised on the where and the decorations and everything, but my mom can't keep big secrets so I'm sure I'll know a lot of the details.

I am too much of a control freak to enjoy surprises! I wish I could relax and let people surprise me.

I'd like to be surprised or at least not have to do anything...I'm doing everything on my own to begin with...one lese thing for me to get involved in....I will however buy an outfit; right down to the shoes and bra and leave it in FH's car!!

i want to be surprise even though i know it might be chaos but i rather it be chaos planned with love!! I know my shower month and location! but i don't know anything about the details

i knew only of the date. i didnt know the place. i showed up in jeans and brought an outfit to change into because not everyone knew that i knew about it. even knowing the date..its still overwhelming having all those people in your face yelling surprise so you do still get that kind of element.

a friend of mine picked out a dress.. gave it to her mom and said i want to wear this- so on her bridal showershe came in with jeans on looking very casual so after the initial surprise- she changed into her dress and her mom brought all the accessories -so it worked out really cute!

that was nice!!

i actually don't mind if it's not a surprise.
i feel like i need to help out with this + i don't want my mom paying for all of that. so i'm just going to plan it myself, nothing too crazy.
