How far in advance are shower's usually held. My wedding is not until December, but it seems that things are coming off my registry and my mom and BP are acting a little suspicious. I know it's early, but I was thinking maybe they wanted to get it done during the summer. I have a large family and it would be better if it could be at the house in the backyard. Is it unusual to have it 4-5 months before the wedding??
mine is next week..about 3 months before the wedding.
I've been to showers up to 6 months before the wedding. Maybe they are planning it early to surprise you.
I'd say 5-6 months before the wedding is tops. Nothing wrong with getting a party early.
Mine was first planned for 6 months before the wedding, but then my mom couldn't make it. Then it switched to 2 months prior. You could be having a shower in the making!
I had my shower in April b/c we had to plan it around a long holiday weekend in order for me to travel upstate.
