Shower/Wishing Well

What exactly does it mean when it says 'Wishing Well' at the bottom of a shower invitation?

edit: also, how should it be worded on the invite?

It's when they have the little make-shift well all decorated for people to throw little items in that are inexpensive. On the invite, at the bottom it usually simply says 'Wishing Well'.

I usually put in things like sponges and lightbulbs...things people can always use.

WISHING WELL on the bottom alitte under the Rsvp date...

Wishing well means small gifts that you can think the person would get use of. Little gadgets.

some new ideas are for wishing wells to come up with a theme, I even had one where they asked to bring a bottle of wine!! (the couple already owned their home for a while, so they didnt need any more chochky stuff

When I did my friends shower I made a hawaiin wishing well since they were going to Hawaii on their honeymoon. So I had them bring stuff they would while they were there and of course when they got home as well!

Gift cards are good for the well too. Even ten bucks from each guest adds up and its great.

I got Barkeepers friend and sponges in there too-2 of the most useful well gifts I got. the barkeeps friend is for cleaning stainless steel and makes pots look like new!
