Shrinkage

Shrinkage

Anyone starting to shrink closer to their wedding? I've been stuck at a certain weight for soooo long, no matter what I did nothing would work. I work out 4x a week and eat right, but nothing helped. As I started to get closer to the wedding date and stressed more with other things going on in my life, it just started to melt off. Not drastically or dramatically, but enough to notice. Anyone else experiencing this?

It really does happen, my dress ended up fitting me a little big on the wedding date.

Re: Shrinkage

My FH actually called me tiny. I am no where near that, but compared to what I used to be (total down 24 lbs)

Ah not me....I'm probably the only bride in history who GAINED weight before the wedding.

Re: Shrinkage

I am sure you're not. Funny thing is that I was positive I would gain a massive amount of weight, because that's what I tend to do when I stress.....EAT. I gained before every major event and every wedding I've ever been a bridesmaids at. I was always my biggest during those times....then again I still have time before my wedding to gain it all back lol.

Re: Shrinkage

It happened to me and TRUST me, I wasn't even the diet or work out type the month before the wedding!!

The day of the wedding my dress had room to spare!

Re: Shrinkage

The 2 weeks before the wedding it MELTED off of me, it will for your too, so you ladies who just need to lose a few and are having trouble.....just wait until the week of, the pounds will just drop off and you won't even realize it's happening because you're just so stressed and so busy, it's like you're not even thinking about eating and you're not even hungry.

Add me to the list of brides who's dress ended up being a little too big come the day of. oh well.

Re: Shrinkage

I have been experiencing this since January!!!!!!

On top of the wedding so much has been going on! FH and I are in the process of buying our 1st place, my uncle passed away a month from today. It's just sooooo much!

I don't skip meals...honestly I have been eating more crap than healthy food but I guess just being sooo on the go and running from 1 appt to the other and my full time job and part-time job!

I have my 1st offical fitting on June 2nd (Monday). I will see how my dress fits. When I tried it on in Jan when it came in it fit perfectly. I hope they don't have to do too much!

Re: Shrinkage

Totally. The added stress has made my heart beat faster for sure, even sitting down watching TV I feel it. I had been stuck at one weight until about 2 weeks ago, when I dropped another 3 pounds. It also helps that I hardly ever sit down and veg out - I'm either making table runners, at a dance lesson, shopping for jewelry / undergarments / etc., cleaning the house like a maniac for the first time FMIL comes over... and on and on...
