I am looking into shuttles and I have a question for any of you that are doing shuttles ...or thinkiing about it... or just like to offer opinions on things
I told my OOT guests that transportation would be provided to and from the reception to the hotel where we have our blocked rooms. CH starts at 7:30, about 10 minutes from the hotel
Do you think we pay for an hour of shuttle service and have the guy drive back and forth between the RH and the hotel?
Or is it better to have a specific meeting time for the guests and then he just makes one trip? What if people are late and miss the shuttle? they're on their own??
And then what about return? Do we only offer the van once at the end of the party or a few trips starting before the party ends for anyone who is pooped.....
So much to think about!
Thanks girls!

Re: shuttle bus question
I hired classic van service it is going to be $75-90 each way for ten people and its not hourly . This was the cheapest way that I found without renting. WE are going to point the specific times it leaves and comes.. If anyone can think of an alternative let me know..

Re: shuttle bus question
Call your limo company and/or OOT hotel. They'll be able to tell you how they prefer to handle this.

Re: shuttle bus question
We are having two pickups at the hotel and two pickups at the RH. If people want to use the shuttle service then they're going to have to stay for the entire time.

Re: shuttle bus question
I have the same issue, also I'm not sure how many people will want to take the shuttle, I asked for people to let me know with before the 11th of april, I've only heard from 3 people so far. I'm so worried on the day of the wedding there will be more people wanting transportation.
We're debating between having one van for the whole night, or doing a per trip.

Re: shuttle bus question
i am having my ceremony at jericho terrace along with the reception so my van only holds 17 people at a time, they are going backand forth till everyone is picked up than later on at night they are comign to jericho terrace to bring back the guests to the hotel 3 times till everyone is back there at the hotel. you should work it out with the vans that they make sure that all the people who have to go on that van go and that they don't leave anyone. another thing is that my wedding doesn't end till 1:30am so i am having the van start to come at 12:30 just incase the older folks want to leave earlier. hope this helped

Re: shuttle bus question
my OOT hotel is providing the shuttle for my guests for round trip. It is my understanding that they ask you to meet at a certain time but they do make multiple trips if needed. same for the return

Re: shuttle bus question
My hotel provided this for FREE because we booked a certain amount of rooms.
Paying for the service through hotel was also an option, but we didn't because they offered it for free because we booked so many rooms!
