Hey guys I need some help. I have been getting some quotes for shuttles to take 20 guests from Stony Brook to Miller Place (5 min driver) for 250$(one way)! So it's going to cost over 500$!

Any one have any other ideas, or shuttles companies who are NOT insanely priced. I really want to provide this for my guests who want to drink...and NOT drive. Let me know if you have any other suggestions or shuttle companies that wouldn't charge more than 300$ for the entire shuttle.

At this point I am ready to hire a random person to drive a rented van from Enterprise!!

Are you getting a hotel block? A lot of ppl get the shuttle free through the hotel when you book a certain amt of rooms.

Well you see I am getting married in Miller Place and I have called every local hotel..Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, Crown Plaza,Marriot...and not even trying the comfort inn.

NONE of these hotels provide shuttle..only to the airport!! For someone reason North Eastern Long Island hotels suck! I even offered to pay for their shuttle..but they all said NO

any more ideas?????

Have you tried hiring a school bus? I believe they'll be a lot cheaper!!

a school bus? Is that even possible? if so, who should I call? I really feel like renting a van from enterprise and hiring someone to drive it.

Yes, school buses do it. Just try and find out what bus company the local school districts use and give them a call!
