Shuttle pressures...

Is anyone having an issue deciding on a shuttle ? I'm only have about 8-10 guests (besides my family) staying at the hotel. the RH is about 25 min away from the hotel. Shuttles are usually for more people ...over 20. I had 2 of them ask me about it. Should I be providing cabs? Do I get a shuttle for 20 something people, when it's only half that? It seems silly...

We are doing a shuttle on the way home at night, back to the hotel b/c my family and some of my FH's family is staying there (but taking limos before the wedding to the RH)....so if my other hotel guests take cabs they can always hop in shuttle on the way back. Is that wrong of me to ask them to call a cab themselves for the one way there? Need feedback!!!

I didn't do a shuttle. I understand that its a nice luxury to offer, but your guests need to understand that you are NOT obligated to make sure they get home safe. You can always politely say 'I'm sorry, it just wasn't in the budget'.

Thanks ...I did respond back with 'We are looking into it but can't promise anything'...

it is definitely not necessary. but you may want to see if your hotel offers a shuttle...some hotels have something small and it is relatively inexpensive

It's a nice thing to do but I certainly don't think shuttles are something you HAVE to do.

Since you have like 10 people going and they can hitch a ride with the shuttle coming back, maybe look into one of those 14 person vans - I dont know who you are working with for limos but I know camelot has them- they would only need to make one trip.

eta: and I dont know what the price of that 14 person van would be.. if that is too expensive, maybe call a cab company and have them send two vans to make the trip from the hotel to the RH with those 10 people. that may be cheaper

I would check with the hotel. I know most have shuttle buses or vans that may be able to take your guests at no additional charge.
