shuttles: shuttle companies vs taxi companies?

Has anyone considered just reserving taxis to take their guests between the hotel (for those staying at reserved hotel) and the reception?

I am looking into this now, and it seems like it should be MUCH MORE AFFORDABLE.

has anyone looked into this? is anyone doing it?

TIA!!!!

Do you mean car service vs. shuttles from the limo companies?
