So this is a very random question. I thought of it b/c my wedding is in Nov...and in the last 3 weeks...I have been sick twice. If my wedding was this year...I'm not even sure I would have made it down the aisle. How do you prevent getting sick before your wedding? Or what do you do if you are? Has anyone had this situation? My weddings not for 2 years...so just thinking ahead

Re: Sick
If you were sick with a cold i would say to take some Airborne daily to build up your immune system.

SLEEP>..whenever I get a cold I take the next day off from work if possible, take nyqul and sleep in and all day..I always feel much better! Your body just needs time to concentrate on fighting the illness!

Re: Sick
This is my fear. Our originally wedding date was 1/5/08 and we rescheduled to 09 due to family illness, but last year on 1/5/08 I was deathly ill with a stomach virus, thank god we didn't get married that day. There would have been no way I would have been able to make the wedding. I think just try to wash your hands constantly, eat healthy and stay away from sick people.

Re: Sick
I was worried about the same thing since I always get sick in the fall. I just made sure to take vitamins and get as much sleep as I could. I also did a bit of praying

Re: Sick
What is your regular routine? There are some things you can do to help prevent getting sick:
- Get plenty of sleep - Exercise! A strong body = a strong immune system - Eat healthy to get all your nutrients - Take a multi-vitamin and a vitamin C every day - Wash your hands frequently

Re: Sick
Anytime I have something important coming up OR if someone in the office is sick I take airborne religiously and it works like a charm. Also vitamin C pills and my vitamins.

Re: Sick
I SWEAR by zinc supplements. If I sense a cold or sore throat coming on, I take a pill and more often than not, I can nip it in the bud. It also gives me a boost of energy! They're super cheap at CVS or Vitamin Shoppe.
Note-- I think zinc can make a person more photosensitive so be careful if you're in a lot of sun.

Re: Sick
I've found the best way to keep from being sick is to excercise and eat healthy. Also, VITAMIN C!!
