Quick question- when making the sign for the. Drinks, do you list the ingredients ? I don't know the exact ingredients the hall will use.
How many signs? One for bar and one by place cards?

Re: Signature drink sign question
i would just do one by the bar
i've seen it where ppl list the ingredients & where they just have the name of the drink & leave it up to the bartender to explain

Re: Signature drink sign question
Maybe just one sign at the drink table where they hand out the drinks to your guests as they come in? I don't think I'll bother with a sign for it. I'm sure the waiters can tell the guests what the drink is called...
What's a good signature drink? I'm not much of a drinker and neither is my fiance.... (which makes it crazy that we're having our reception at a vineyard!! hahaha)
Bellinis?
I'd like something that's got a lot of alcohol but tastes like it doesnt have any. Sweet or fresh/fruity is good too. Get the guests liquored up right away!

You were supposed to tell them what you wanted. I did chocolate martinis for wedding but for my Anniversay at Westbury manor I think I'm doing French martinis. It was really good at their showcase but I don't remember the ingredients.
Didn't know you need a sign

I gave them four drinks. However I did not tell them the ingredients to use to make them. And I know that different bartenders use different things sometimes

Re: Signature drink sign question
i made this sign but I dont like it. Not sure why I dont like it, but I just dont. Any feedback is welcomed!
My reception hall asked for 2 - 8 x 10 signs with the drink name and an ingredient list for the bartenders so they can make it...

That makes sense! Except I dont know the exact ingredients they are using and I didnt think of asking them when I decided on the drink list.

Call them up! They shouldn't have a problem giving you that information

Re: Signature drink sign question
I put in the ingredients...My BM told me to send her a copy of the signs a few weeks before so they can make sure they have the right ingredients on hand that day.

Re: Signature drink sign question
You'll probably only need to have specific ingredients for the bartenders if they're not familiar with the drinks. Otherwise, like at a regular bar, they can explain to guests what's in them. I really like the idea of a signature, but I want to make sure they're not extra before doing it.

Re: Signature drink sign question
We are doing one by each bar and one for the martini luge.. each drink name will have the ingredients listed below it.

Re: Signature drink sign question
I brought my drink menu to the final payment meeting and my BM sat with her beverage person to make sure they were able to get all the ingredients.. we had to take a few off, but she came back with some suggestions so it was really easy to do and no extra cost!!!
IMO it shouldn't be extra since you are paying for top shelf open bar.. they are just drinks people can order anyway!!!

hadn't thought of that! i guess i forgot we're actually entitled to everything we pay for, even if we want to class it up a bit as a 'signature drink'...can't wait to tell FH!
