A doc left surgery material in my arm 5yrs ago and he told me the lump in, my arm was a screw and for 5yrs I walked around believing that until I had another surgery with a new doc last feb to find out it was stuff left in from surgery. Well today I finally signed the forms stating who I was suing and for what. hopefully by april we can have the meeting and settle. I cant wait its going to be a down payment on a new house

Yeh, it makes me really mad that my old doc lied about it being a screw. guess he thought he could get away with it

wow, you are REALLY lucky that you didn't get an infection from what was left in there!
FMIL had gauze left in her leg after a surgery and got a really bad staph infection But she also sued the doc and won easy, you probably can get enough for a whole house, not just a down payment!!

He left in a stool of blue suture material. My body was trying to fight it and caused a HUUUUGE ball of scar tissue around it and thats why there was a little lump sticking out of my arm. Its pretty grossw and now my arm is even more ugly and scarred up because of this.
